Methods to speed up recovery after Rhinoplasty

Well, if you underwent rhinoplasty then you might be excited see the results of your operation but unfortunately you need to wait. Because it takes time to recover.  In fact, there seem to be very few things that you can do to help your faster and smoother recovery.

The recovery process for rhinoplasty is distinct for each patient. However, the approximate recovery duration for surgery is one year. That may sound like a long time, but when it is broken down into a timeline, it becomes much more manageable. Therefore, to help patients plastic cosmetic surgeons in Indore have devised the following guidelines:

  • Avoid intense workout
One should stop exercising excessively. Also, movements that appear gentle, such as stretching, raising, or bending, can increase nasal swelling.

  • Keep cool

Steamy baths, hot soup bowls, and soothing saunas can feel good, but for your swollen nose, they're not that good. The heat will cause the tissues in your nose to swell even more, which is why it is best to stick to normal showers.

  • Don't smoke

It is critical to stop smoking even before as well as after the surgery. In tobacco products, nicotine limits blood flow, making it harder for your body to recover  itself and obstructs your recovery from plastic surgery.

  • Use cold compresses

Using a cold compress can help reduce swelling in the first 72 hours after surgery. Just be cautious that you do not explicitly apply the compress to your nose.  Alternatively, add it to your cheeks so that no bone or cartilage gets unintentionally moved.

Be prepared and stay cautious wishing you a faster recovery.
